yes, this means a new version of jetlag
the new online high score list won't simply be a top 100 list, as in games previous.
each player will have exactly 1 entry in the scores list
it records not just the personal high score (that would only give one level of competition)
It also records number of games play, and total cumulative score (two more dimensions of competition), which leads to a third level of competing, which is average score.
so far i have modified my user system to use ajax (you'll be able to log in/out, etc right on the page). the high score table and the script to fill it is done. the game is done to playability. all that's left it integration, which of course takes the longest
but fear not! it will happen! and you will all get to enjoy the bliss of competing online in jetlag!
