Every month, my cubemate and I change the calendar page. It just so happens that this calendar has pithy words of wisdom to live by. The rule is that we do not look at the words of wisdom until the new month comes.

For July:

-Don't be afraid to say "I don't know."

-Don't be afraid to say "I made a mistake."

-Don't be afraid to say "I need help."

-Don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry."

-Decide to get up thirty minutes earlier. Do this for a year, and you will add seven and one half days to your waking world.

-Enjoy real maple syrup.

-Be open to ideas.

-Don't miss the magic of the moment by focusing on what's to come.

Words of wisdom? Who knows. I'm hoping that in December, there is an item that says "never listen to the advice on a calendar."
